2020 NFL Week 3 Best Bets

A look at Week 3 of the NFL, with some betting tips and top picks for the week.

Three picks for Week 3 NFL betting

The NFL heads to Week 3 of the 2020 season with several questions needing answers. The biggest, of course, is how all the Week 2 injuries will impact the remainder of the season?

Some of the major injuries from last week will have a direct effect on the outcomes in Week 3. Here's a look at NFL Week 3 best bets.

NFL SPECIAL PLAYER PROPS

49ers at Giants (UNDER 41)

This makes so much sense it's almost scary. San Francisco will be without RBs Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is questionable, as is TE George Kittle.

Wide receiver Deebo Samuel is still on IR and DE Joey Bosa and DT Solomon Thomas are done for the year.

NFL preview Week 3 Best BetsOn the other side, the Giants best offensive weapon, RB Saquon Barkley, is out for the season with a torn ACL. That leaves the Giants offense in the hands of second-year QB Daniel Jones.

That's a lot of offensive production that will not be on the field on Sunday. Both of the Giants games this season have seen the Total go Under. Both of the Niners' games hit 44 for the Total.

San Francisco is due for a letdown. Under head coach Kyle Shanahan, the 49ers are just 1-8 ATS coming off a previous ATS win. With the spread at San Francisco -4 at offshore sportsbooks, taking the Under seems like the safer bet in this one.

Dolphins at Jaguars (-3)

Week 3 gets underway on Thursday night when Miami heads to Jacksonville for an in-state battle. The Dolphins are off to another 0-2 start.

Jacksonville Miami Free PickMiami's defense gave up 217 yards rushing to the Patriots in Week 1 and 417 yards passing to Josh Allen and the Bills last week.

Jacksonville's Gardner Minshew has been on fire with six touchdown passes in two games for the Jags.

Jacksonville has had recent success in Thursday night games played at home at TIAA Bank Field. In their last four prime time Thursday games at home, the Jags are 4-0. More importantly, they are 4-0 ATS.

The Jags offense will roll over the Miami defense.

Lions at Cardinals (-6)

Being a Lions fan must be tough. Detroit squandered another lead and lost to Green Bay last week 42-21. Detroit gave up 252 yards rushing in the process.

Cardinals Lions betting tipsArizona QB Kyler Murray is making a name for himself both as a passer and as a runner. The Cardinals are 2-0 and bettors like when they play at home. They like it especially when the Lions visit.

The Cards are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 home games against the Detroit Lions. Detroit has not had much success covering spreads recently with a 2-11 record ATS in their last 13 games.

Detroit is also 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against Arizona. The Lions do have an offense that can produce points with Matthew Stafford at quarterback.

The Over might be a play here, but at 54.5 and the Lions only averaging 22 points a game the better play is on Arizona rolling up a big victory on Sunday.
