A member recently emailed us about a complaint on a sports book. The player was supposed to receive two checks and only received one. The player stated the second check was missing. After trying to contact the sports book and, getting nowhere the player asked OSGA to assist him in receiving the second check that was still owed to him.
Once OSGA was informed of the situation, we contacted upper management at the sportsbook. We were informed the first check was coming from a check writing company that has been around for years and services many companies. However, because of their size, during football season, they do often have delays in getting checks out. In addition, to the information about the first check we informed the player the second check should be a day or two behind the first one. Within a few days of contacting us the player did get his first check, and due to our involvement the second one was expedited and did arrive the same day!
