ROICapper breaks down the INternational Friendly match between Liverpool and Napoli with predictions and betting tips.

International Club Friendly

The annual preseason tour continues to roll on with a full docket of matches on Sunday and with the season rapidly approaching, teams are attempting to round into form before the start of a new campaign begins.

Liverpool has been less than impressive for much of their current preseason tour. The defending Champions League winners are only two weeks away from the EPL season, as the Reds will want to improve their all-around game-play.

Jurgen Klopp returns for another run with the club, and after finishing second in the Premier League, the German headman has another obstacle to overcome.

The Reds Winning Culture

Klopp has instilled a winning mentality throughout the club, and with the bulk of his squad returning for a new season, there are significant expectations within Liverpool's camp.

The vaunted Reds front-line of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah are still recovering from extended Summer tournaments with their home countries. The vacant positions have allowed backup players to get legitimate playing time during this preseason run, and further strengthening the team for a championship chase.

Divock Origi, Georginio Wijnaldum, and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain have seized their opportunities to shine. The trio is incredibly talented and would be starters for most clubs, but apart of this Liverpool juggernaut, they are vital pieces towards a winning formula.

Liverpool has had no problems finding the back of the net during their Summer tour. The Reds have scored an impressive 14 goals to date, for an average of 2.8 over their five-match stretch. The team's defensive structure has come into question, with the backend allowing eight goals thus far, and 1.6 per outing.

Napoli land in the United Kingdom having completed another top-three finish in Serie A, with the Italians assuring themselves of other Champions League appearance. The Gli Azzurri are also in search of a league title as well, feeling they are ready to knock off the mighty Juventus under a new regime.

Carlo Ancelotti is the perfect figurehead for this particular moment. The three-time Champions League winner has endured every possible scenario during his storied managerial career, giving the Napoli faithful plenty of confidence headed into the new campaign.

Napoli's Time To Shine

The Blues feel they are set to make deep runs on multiple fronts, and with a stable nucleus in play, expect big things from the Southern Italian side.

Arkadiusz Milik has been impressive as the starting dangerman within Anchelotti's plan of attack. The Polish striker will be joined by a familiar cast of players on Sunday, with Lorenzo Insigne, Dries Mertens and Jose Callejon all expected to get significant playing time against the Reds.

The Neapolitans will step onto the pitch in prime form, having scored nine goals over their past three matches, Napoli is more than capable of trading punches with the English giants.

Liverpool vs. Napoli - Match Prediction

These two European regulars split their two match series last season, with each team escaping with slim one goals victories while on their pitches.

Liverpool has been high octane in each one of their preseason matches, using their aggressive style of play to set the break into motion, where they enjoy flooding the final third of the pitch.

Napoli is well equipped to handle Liverpool's electric attack. The Italians are highly capable of absorbing the oncoming pressure, using their overall athleticism to recover from vulnerable positions, and springing their own counter-attack into motion, where they have excelled under the guidance of Ancelotti.

I expect Liverpool to come out full of energy, wanting to set the tone in front of the Scottish crowd, but the Italians will not be rattled, as I anticipate plenty of offense on both ends, with two powerful attacking units in full force.
