Jazz Sports Declares Ja Morant NBA Rookie of the Year

Though not official, Ja Morant is declared NBA ROY by Jazz Sports.

Early on, the NBA Rookie of the Year was a two-player race

Though there is still two months left in the NBA season, today online sports-betting giant JAZZ Sports is making an early future bet call on the 2019-20 NBA Rookie of the Year contest. JAZZ has declared Temetrius Jamel "Ja" Morant as this season's NBA Rookie of the Year and will be backing that up with paying future bets placed on Morant immediately.

JAZZ Sports informed players today of their early prediction. "Effective immediately, all JAZZ Sports players with an existing bet on Ja Morant to win NBA Rookie of the Year 2019-20 will find their corresponding winnings credited to their account balances."

NBA Rookie of the Year Ja MorantBefore the 2019-2020 NBA season started the Minnesota Grizzlies' rookie point guard was the second favorite to win the Eddie Gottlieb Trophy at better than 2-1 behind #1 overall pick Zion Williamson. Unfortunately, Williamson went down with an injury and had knee surgery on October 19th of last year.  With Zion back, and returning instantly to pre-season form, where he averaged 23.3 points and 6.5 rebounds in four games, the odds have jumped slightly on him taking the Rookie of the Year title. But, it's hard to imagine Williamson doing enough to win the award and Ja Morant's odds are now a whopping -560 at most sports books.

However unlikely, if any other player were to win the above prize, JAZZ Sports will make sure to honor the winning players with the corresponding reward. A total of 326 players bet on Ja Morant to win this year, with nearly $100,000 in possible earnings!
