Why wait for this Sunday’s Super Bowl for the week’s best prop action?

Why wait for this Sunday's Super Bowl for the week's best prop action? BetOnline has hot Trump State of the Union wagering to handicap.

On Tuesday evening at 9:00PM ET President Donald Trump will speak to Congress and the American people in his first official State of the Union address. CNN will carry the action, I mean address, where the President will review many current important issues concerning our nation and countless other countries as well.

The concept for a State of the Union address is enshrined in Article II, Section 3, Clause I of the U.S. Constitution, which states that the president "shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union and recommend to their consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient." Too bad they didn't have Twitter back then, for we have a current President that now gives his final word opinion and judgement to Congress and the American people daily.

Think of the State of the Union as a special event.

According to the National Archives, George Washington first gave his "annual message" to Congress on January 8, 1790, in the Senate Chamber of Federal Hall in New York City -- which was then the temporary seat of government.

President Bill Clinton holds the record for the longest State of the Union address. His Year 2000 address ran one hour, 28 minutes, 49 seconds, according to the American Presidency Project at the University of California at Santa Barbara.

George Washington had the shortest address, with his 1790 speech spanning just 833 words. It is believed to have lasted only 10 minutes. You would have to figure America was a lot less complicated, had a lot less problems and way fewer enemies back then.

Let's Get Ready to Rumble

Tuesday evening's State of the Union might turn into a WWE wrestling type of event. It features a Democratic rebuttal, which is a tradition of the opposing political party. And off the recent fireworks involving the government shutdown, could be more interesting than the last two minutes of the upcoming Super Bowl.

Rep. Joe Kennedy of Massachusetts is scheduled to deliver the Democratic response to Trump's address. Kennedy, 37, is seen as a rising star in a party that has many in the senior ranks, well into their 70s.

The Massachusetts congressman comes from one of the most prominent families in American politics as the great-nephew of former President John F. Kennedy. He also follows in the footsteps of his great-uncle, Sen. Ted Kennedy, who was part of a group response to President Ronald Reagan's State of the Union in 1982. Check out Trump's facial expressions when this battle gets hot.

Donald Trump props State of the Union addressThe best aspect about the State of the Union is the wagering action offered by elite rated sportsbook, BetOnline. No truth whatsoever the President himself will be reviewing the proposition odds BELOW. If we can't believe in "integrity" for State of the Union wagering how must we believe in the potential for U.S. sports wagering legalization affecting the NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL?

Some handicapping advice. Of all listed BetOnline props, I like the UNDER (-160) referenced in "less than 60.5 minutes for his the POTUS State of the Union speech. Every word will be pre-written for the President with a goal to get out ASAP and with a minimum of time-wasting hand gestures, if possible.

Also, a popular trend with the many "unders" this past week. The NFL Pro Bowl went under. All NHL All-Star wagers went under the total. And whispers are saying the Super Bowl total is also looking like a potential solid Under play as well. Keep your eye on the clock but keep in mind what the Prez says is quite important too.
