Pennsylvania made history for the month of October! For the first time, the state generated more than $200 million in wagers with its online and retail sportsbooks. According to recent reports, bettors increasingly turned to online activities for the month of October. Market analysts said there are much bigger months ahead for the state since DraftKings joined this month.

One of the state’s sports betting analysts said the online market in the state is finally maturing. With a major brand like DraftKing joining the state, the path for growth is clearer now for the state to have a steady growth.

The new record high of $241.2 million in accepted bets generated $19.1 million in revenue according to the official data released this week. October generations beat the month of September by 24%. The five online sportsbooks’ generations represented 82% of the state’s total handle. About 85% of all accepted wagers originated online.

FanDuel Sportsbook continued to dominate the online market for the month. FanDuel at Valley Forge Casino Resort accepted a record breaking $113.9 million, up from $85.1 million in September. Rivers-Pittsburgh lead the retail market accepting a little more than $7.5 million.
