Betway Going Big, Partners With DGC to Launch Online Gambling in Ten States

UK-based online gambling company Betway has its eye on the United States, announcing that it has signed a new brand licensing agreement with Digital Gaming Corporation (DGC) to launch services in America.

First time in the United States

UK-based online gambling company Betway has its eye on the United States, announcing that it has signed a new brand licensing agreement with Digital Gaming Corporation (DGC) to launch services in America. The online casino supplier will initially work with the content provider in ten states.

Betway is known for its online gambling brands such as Betway Casino and Betway Sportsbook. The operator also offers bingo, poker, and additional gaming options. In the US, the companies will stick to sports betting and online casino games on both mobile and desktop platforms.

Exclusive agreement

Via the Betway brand, DGC has plans to offer pre-match and in-play sports betting on major United States and European sports leagues, tailored to each state based on what sports and bet types are permitted. DGC Betway will also offer unique features like live streaming of events, Bet Builder, partial cash-out, and early cash-out options.

The companies stressed that their products, be they sports betting or online casino, include key components for a safe, responsible gaming experience.

Betway’s Alan Alger spoke with EGR about the new partnership, explaining that the partnership is an exclusive brand license agreement with DGC in which the operator will use the Betway brand for US operations.

New Jersey was the first state in which DGC signed a slots supply agreement, working with BetMGM. This deal earned approval in September of last year.

Unibet expanding in the United States

As online gambling has grown in the US, international operators like Betway are making their moves into the country. Earlier this year, another international operator was able to expand its services in America. Based in Malta, the Kindred Group-owned Unibet brand has completed deals in Arizona and California.

Unibet has partnered with the Quechan Tribe of the Fort Yuma Indian Reservation in a ten-year deal. The partnership includes online and retail sports betting services, plus iGaming. The launch in both states is contingent upon the passage of sports betting and online gambling legislation.
