We run through a couple of the early games in the NFL, including the AFC showdown between the Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens.

Let's look at some of the 1 PM ET games in the NFL. Remember that you can get reduced juice on these games, as well as the chance to place wagers in real time with Sports Betting Prime:

TENNESSEE TITANS at BALTIMORE RAVENS

BetAnySports NFL Odds: Ravens -6, Total 50

We understand that the Titans imploded against Indianapolis, and that was an unfortunate thing. But maybe the circumstances surrounding that may work to their advantage here. Having played a Thursday game, they have more time to heal up and prepare, while Baltimore is staring at a quick turnaround as they have Pittsburgh on deck on Thanksgiving.

Ravens Titans Free pickLamar Jackson has been running the ball more lately, but the fact remains that his aerial attack is limited. While we would freely admit that the wide receivers are getting a bigger piece of the pie, Jackson is not the most accurate downfield passer. And the Titans put together the kind of defensive game plan in last year's playoffs that, if executed properly, is going to throw him way off balance every time.

And Derrick Henry dispelled any notion that the Baltimore defensive line was in any way impenetrable by rambling for 195 yards. There's not reason to believe they couldn't do it again.

Titans Ravens betting tipsQuarterbacks who run around a lot are usually going to be a problem for opposing defenses, but like a pitcher who isn't as effective the second and third time through a lineup, Jackson loses the element of mystery as defensive coordinators learn how to deal with him. And it's worth mentioning that the Ravens are 26th in the league in yards gained per drive. That doesn't come close to being a juggernaut.

Now we will add what we usually do when discussing the Titans, which is that they are second best at scoring touchdowns in the red zone, and have been the best since Ryan Tannehill took over behind center. Taking the points with TENNESSEE is in order.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS at JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS

NFL Odds: Steelers -10.5, Total 46.5

Fundamentally, there are no reasons to suggest that the Jags can hang in there for very long. After all, they have lost eight consecutive games while Pittsburgh is 9-0, and the Jags are starting a rookie quarterback (Jake Luton) yet again.

Jags Steelers free NFL pickBut in Luton's two starts, perhaps the opponent has been underestimating them. Or the Jags have shown some spirit. In any event, they have taken both Houston and Green Bay to the limit, despite going against superior quarterbacks. They are against a superior QB again; Ben Rothelisberger came off the COVID list last week to go for 333 yards and four TD's. And you obviously have to consider the Pittsburgh defense, which could be the best in the business, and they did redeem themselves last week against Joe Burrow and Cincinnati.

But the Steelers have that big AFC North game on Thursday against Baltimore, where they can pretty much wrap up the division title. So they are looking ahead to that. Let's take points with JACKSONVILLE.
