NFL Playoffs Preview: One Word Why Each Team Can Win It All

Heading into the NFL playoffs, a quick look at every team that has a chance to win Superbowl LVI.

Odds and betting tips for every NFL Superbowl contender

Just like that, it’s the playoffs. With the NFL’s Super Wild Card Weekend set to kick everything off Saturday, here's some good news for the remaining 14 fan bases: your team has a legitimate shot to win the Super Bowl.

Whoa, what? Not according to the NFL betting lines. One quick look will show that not every contender is the same. After all, the Las Vegas Raiders would likely get their butts kicked if they faced the Green Bay Packers, right?

Nearly 50 years of upsets, longshots turning into champions and Tom Brady whooping Father Time would suggest otherwise. None of us really have any idea who will come out on top. With that said, here is one (key) word on how and why each team can go all the way.

The AFC Contenders

Kansas City Chiefs: Truth
Odds To Reach The Super Bowl: +200
Odds To Win The Super Bowl: +450

Chiefs Superbowl odds predictionNo amount of media pessimism or panicking could have deterred the Chiefs from finishing with nine wins in their last 10 games and tying the Tennessee Titans for the best record in the conference. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is not shot, as was inferred mid-season. The defense is clutch, the media is wrong and the Chiefs are the truth.

Tennessee Titans: Overlooked
Odds To Reach The Super Bowl: +325
Odds To Win The Super Bowl: +800

AFC Superbowl contendersThe Titans are fifth on the Super Bowl odds and have seen the second-biggest line shortening since the Week 1 opener (when they were +2800). Yet the Chiefs and Bills, two teams the Titans spanked, have better odds. Derrick Henry is also returning.

Buffalo Bills: Historic
Odds To Reach The Super Bowl: +375
Odds To Win The Super Bowl: +750

That’s what quarterback Josh Allen is, the first quarterback to throw for over 4,000 yards and rush for over 700, doing it in 16 games. The best dual-threat QB may be the toughest to stop when he’s “on”.

Cincinnati Bengals: Twins
Odds To Reach The Super Bowl: +900
Odds To Win The Super Bowl: +1800

Few quarterback-receiver duos have been as in sync as Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase. They may as well be twins. Cincinnati is 4-1 when they connect for over 100 yards, including a win over Kansas City.

New England Patriots: Genius
Odds To Reach The Super Bowl: +1000
Odds To Win The Super Bowl: +2000

Patriots betting tips SuperbowlBill Belichick is still the best coach in the business. He’s so good, he’s often been accused of cheating and having a bad personality. Few coaches can say they’ve out-coached him in the postseason, perhaps two in this season’s playoffs.

Las Vegas Raiders: Momentum
Odds To Reach The Super Bowl: +2500
Odds To Win The Super Bowl: +5000

There aren’t many NFL teams entering the postseason hotter than Vegas, winners of their last four games, all by a single score. Maybe it’s luck, but who’d want to bet against a team that has it in spades right now?

Pittsburgh Steelers: Destiny
Odds To Reach The Super Bowl: +4000
Odds To Win The Super Bowl: +8000

Think back to Super Bowl XL in 2006 when Ben Roethlisberger would lead the Steelers to their first Super Bowl under his watch, the first time a sixth-seed would do it. Now he gets a chance to lead the first seventh-seeded team.

The NFC Contenders

Green Bay Packers: Anger
Odds To Reach The Super Bowl: +175
Odds To Win The Super Bowl: +375

Green Bay Packers Superbowl favoritesBy all means, more fans and more media should keep swiping at Aaron Rodgers. He’s on his way to another MVP according to the NFL odds and maybe his second Lombardi Trophy. “Pissed off Rodgers” is the best Rodgers.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Brady
Odds To Reach The Super Bowl: +350
Odds To Win The Super Bowl: +750

Tom Brady in the playoffs. Nuff said.

Los Angeles Rams: Clutch
Odds To Reach The Super Bowl: +500
Odds To Win The Super Bowl: +1000

NFC Superbowl hopefulsMatthew Stafford has never won a playoff game, but he finally has a competent defense to help him out. He is also posting sublime numbers in the clutch: a 126.4 passer rating in the fourth quarter, 130.4 when the Rams are trailing with less than four minutes left.

Dallas Cowboys: Offense
Odds To Reach The Super Bowl: +550
Odds To Win The Super Bowl: +1200

The Cowboys have the NFL’s most overwhelming offense. So what if a good chunk of their points came against the impoverished NFC East? Dallas has scored 33 or more points in eight games, leading the league in both scoring and yards gained.

Arizona Cardinals: Grit
Odds To Reach The Super Bowl: +1100
Odds To Win The Super Bowl: +2200

cardinals superbowl betting adviceThe Cardinals had to scratch and claw their way to a playoff berth. After starting 7-0, Arizona went just 4-6, enduring a plethora of injuries which still persist today. If adversity is what builds a Super Bowl champion, Arizona has a big edge.

San Francisco 49ers: Defense
Odds To Reach The Super Bowl: +1100
Odds To Win The Super Bowl: +2200

They say “defense wins championships” and the 49ers arguably have the best one. The team finished in the top ten in fewest points and fewest yards, this despite all the injuries

Philadelphia Eagles: Chaos
Odds To Reach The Super Bowl: +2800
Odds To Win The Super Bowl: +5000

At this point, nothing should be considered too shocking to happen. We’re in the middle of a global pandemic, a reality TV star was the former president, and a 50-year-old Phil Mickelson won the PGA Championship as a 200-1 underdog. Chaos is alive and well.

Good Luck betting Super Wild Card Weekend and with all of your wagers through the NFL playoffs and Superbowl 56.
