Who gets the best of it between Travis Kelce and George Kittle? We'll explore that in a Super Bowl 54 prop.

One of the things that is unique and exciting about Super Bowl 54 is the fact that it matches up arguably the two best tight ends in the National Football League (with some apologies to Zach Ertz).

And they will obviously be a huge factor in helping their respective offenses accomplish their objectives. Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs has been a 1000-yard receiver for each of the last four seasons. George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers has produced more yards in one season than any other tight end. The guy who comes up with the better outing might be the one who winds up wearing the ring.

The Super Bowl kicks off at 6:30 PM ET on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL. And BetAnySports not only has reduced juice and Sports Betting Ultra available for customers, there are also a ton of props to be enjoyed.

First, we have the pass receptions prop . . .

Most pass receptions

Travis Kelce -120
George Kittle -110

And here is the prop for most receiving yards . . .

Most Receiving Yards

Travis Kelce -1.5 yards (-105)
George Kittle +1.5 yards (-115)

Kelce's numbers dropped a little from last year to this, but not by a whole lot. When you go from 103 catches, 1336 yards to 97-1229, there are a number of things that can account for it. Kelce is going to be lining up in different spots for a offense that is schematically very sophisticated. And so it is going to be the 49ers' burden to match up with him.

Kansas City quarterbacks (mostly Patrick Mahomes, but also Matt Moore, to a limited extent) have been able to connect with Kelce on 71.3% of all attempts. He had more targets, receptions and yardage than any other player at his position.

Kittle broke Rob Gronkowski's record for tight ends with 1377 yards last year. And averaging 15.6 yards a catch reflects the fact that he can be a lot of trouble once he gets the ball in his hands. What really has to be understood is that the numbers he produced came with backup quarterbacks who had not started a lot of NFL games (CJ Beathard, Nick Mullens). Keep in mind that Jimmy Garoppolo was knocked out for the year in the season's third game.

Kittle was responsible for 32.4% of the team's passing yardage last year. This season that percentage is down to 27.8%, and his average was 12.4 per catch. He did miss some time with injuries, and impressively, he played through some pretty serious stuff as well. The Niners also got more production out of the wide receiver group. You see where we mentioned a 71.4% connection rate between Kelce and Mahomes? Garoppolo has been 79.4% when looking for Kittle. That's amazing.

What's also amazing is how much Kittle's blocking figures into the situation. That has been somewhat unexpected; but he is well-regarded in pass protection, and a critical piece of the outside zone blocking scheme. So he's not going to miss many snaps.

A couple of things here point me toward Kittle, in both props. One is that I think he will be a bigger factor, relative to the other people in his receiving corps. He is the guy Jimmy G will continually find on the intermediate routes. And he is the #1 option, while Mahomes may designate someone else for that. In the back of our minds, we know that Kelce has had some hamstring issues as well.

And the Niners do a great job covering tight ends. Only three of them even reached 50 receiving yards against them. Tight ends averaged four catches for only 38 yards. We'll put our money on the guy from the Niners.
