Read More . . .Two weeks ago we were all asking "Who's Next" to go under in what has become a surreal series of events at reputable sportsbooks offshore. The three sportsbooks, reported on below, were at the top of many lists to answer "We Are" to the dreaded question. One of them has gone under, but with a favorable outcome for most players.
Read More . . .The past two weeks have been an unbelievable cataclysm of events offshore. Three books, all favorites of many players, have run into serious problems. As many of you know SportsMarket/Aces Gold has been ordered into bankruptcy by the government of Curacao. Another book, newcomer Camelot Sportsbook, has run into serious financial problems and will soon be under new ownership.

Whether it be through a sale, closing down or running away there are several shops apparently in trouble and several that appear to have run out already.

Two outfits that the OSGA had extensive dealings with in 2000 and early 2001 are again leading the pack in complaints. Pyramid Sports (Costa Rica) and The Dunes are again destined for our ‘Bad Bets’ list.
Two weeks ago there was a number of wild reports regarding a ‘raid’ on a sportsbook in Costa Rica. The rumors were true, in part, as Nasa Sportsbook (betus) was indeed given a visit by local authorities and were forced to shut down operations for several hours. This is NOT Nasa Sports International (betonsports.com) currently ‘Endorsed & Certified’ by the OSGA.
