2024 Paris Olympics oddsSome of the more 'unique' sports have posted numbers, so it is a perfect time to examine those numbers. Since our mantra continues to be 'do your homework' (especially with the 'Tour' in progress through Sunday, July 21st), ultimately it’s on you to find that value. We, however, attempt to assist.

Here’s a look at some of the latest Paris '24 sports with associated odds . . .

Cycling Those Odds

It’s quite appropriate that the home of the Tour de France (ongoing as of this writing) plays host to cycling (July 27th through Aug. 4th) at the Olympics. All the top cyclists in the world are going to be in Paris, and the board is wide open as of now.

Olympic cycling odds Tour De FranceDutchman Mathieu van der Poel, who’s been starring in any number of cycling competitions, is the tepid favorite here at 7-2 (+350), according to Olympic men’s cycling odds.

Next, two-time (2020-’21) Tour de France champ Tadej Pogacar of Slovenia is at 4-1 (+400). Whether that 'Tour' success gives Pogacar something of a home-course advantage remains to be seen, Remco Evenepoel of Belgium is third choice at 13-2 (+650), with another Belgian, Wout van Aert at 7-1 (+700) and Denmark’s Mads Pedersen a 9-1 (+900) proposition.

It’s into double figures after that, but with the Tour de France in play, expect some reshuffling.

Kopecky is Favored

Belgium’s multi-event winner Lotte Kopecky is the +125 favorite to annex the cycling gold medal on the women’s side, or twice as short as Demi Vollering of the Netherlands (5-2, [+250]).

Thirty-seven-year-old Marianne Vos of Belgium, who’s as decorated as anyone in the sport, is third choice at 4-1 (+400), while 'Dutchlady' Lorena Wiebes sits at 6-1 (+600).

Odds are suggesting one of this quartet is winning, as the next number belongs to Juliette Labous of France, way down at 33-1 (+3300).

Handball 'Match-Race' Odds

Turning to handball, there’s a board ‘match race’ on both sides.

France is currently 3-2 (+150) to win among the men, with second choice Denmark at 17-10 (+170). Once past Sweden at 6-1 (+600), you’re into double digits.

Ladies are even more lopsided on the board, as the 'hometown' French are the even-money choices. Norway’s second at 2-1 (+200), then the Danes at 7-1 (+700). Leading the 'double-digit march' is the Netherlands at 11-1 (+1100).

Paris Olympics water polo odds In the Pool

Odds to win in the pool, at least as water polo is concerned, varies with the men and women. As per Olympic water polo odds.

There’s a ‘three-man race’ between Hungary and Spain (both at 2-1 [+200]), along with Italy (3-1, [+300]). Also, some support with Croatia at 6-1 (+600) and Greece (15-2, [+750]).

There’s no such odds debate among the women, where the United States is a clear 1-4 (-250) fave. Among the plus-money choices are the Netherlands at 5-1 (+500) and Spain (6-1, [+600]).
