More Available Odds for 2024 Olympics

As the 2024 Olympics approaches industry giant BetUS has new odds for beach volleyball and golf.

Odds continue to expand for the Olympics

As the 2024 Paris Olympics inch closer, there’s a steady stream of odds around the different sports. Here’s a look at some of the Olympic odds that have just recently been posted . . .

Men’s Beach Volleyball Volleyball is a staple of the Summer Olympics, but it’s volleyball on the beach that’s become more popular than the indoor variety. Both genders participate, just two people on each team.

Olympics odds 2024 golfSweden’s David Ahman and Jonatan Hellvig are prohibitive betting favorites to win this event, priced at -115, according to Olympic beach volleyball outrights. This was once a sport led by the United States, but not really the case here.

Keeping with the Scandinavian theme, the second choice (+410) is the Norwegian of Anders Berntsen Mol and Christian Sandie Sorum.

Next, the double-digit tandems of . . .

George Wanderley & Andre Loyola Stein (BRA) 10-1 (+1000)
Miles Partain & Andrew Benesh (USA)              13-1 (+1300)
Stefan Boermans & Yorick de Groot (NED)        13-1 (+1300)
Nils Ehlers & Clemens Wickler (GER)                16-1 (+1600)
Ondrej Perusic & David Schweiner (CZE)          17-1 (+1700)
Michal Bryl & Bartosz Losiak (POL)                   20-1 (+2000)
Noslen Diaz Amaro & Jorge Alayo Moliner (CUB) 20-1 (+2000)

Women’s Beach Volleyball

With two great American teams in the mix, it’s quite possible the United States could win the gold in women’s beach volleyball, though not favored on the board.

It’s the Brazilian pairing of Ana Silva Ramos and Eduarda Santos Lisboa Duda as the current choices at +185, as they have dominated throughout the season.

Ironically, the U.S. teams of Sarah Hughes and Kelly Cheng as well as Kristen Nuss and Taryn Kloth have identical odds of 17-5 (+340). Those teams obviously know each other quite well.

Men’s Golf Golf was only recently added to the Games, returning after a successful debut four years ago in Tokyo. Odds aren’t much different than a PGA event, since this field at Le Golf National includes many of the top players in the world.

Scottie Scheffler is favored to win at 15-4 (+375), as per Olympic golf outrights. Scheffler and the rest of the best are in Scotland at the ongoing British Open, so it’s with seeing which player(s) leave Royal Troon with some momentum.

Xander Schauffele was the winner at those ‘20 Olympics, now a 9-1 (+900) to repeat. Rory McIlroy splits the two Amerians on the board, currently second choice at 6-1 (+600) to win.

You’re into double digits the rest of the way, starting with Jon Rahm at 11-1 (+1100).

Now, the Ladies

Nelly Korda had been automatic over any number of tournaments, but not recently. She is the tepid 6-1 (+600) choice heading to Paris.

Lilia Vu (15-2, [+750]) and Atthaya Thitikul (17-2, [+850]) also have their supporters.

Short-Priced Short Pants

Odds are out in both men’s and women’s basketball, where the United States is a puny proportion. Men are 1-8 (-800), while women are 1-14 (-1400) to prevail.

As the Games of the 33rd Olympiad are just over a week away, remaining odds figure to be posted in the next few days.
