After Some Big Scratches, Updated Odds for Pegasus World Cup

JAZZ Sports updates Pegasus World Cup Odds after late scratches.

With high-profile scratches of the original top two morning line choices for Saturday's Pegasus World Cup (G1), Omaha Beach and Spun to Run, the race is now a wide open betting event. However, Gulfstream Park officials are not planning to update the official morning line to reflect Omaha Beach's withdraw from the race. Luckily, for horse racing enthusiasts, long-standing odds maker JAZZ Sports announced the reposting of its Pegasus World Cup Odds to their extensive betting board.

Pegasus World Cup betting oddsAfter news broke out of the withdrawal of the top two contenders to win the World Cup Race, JAZZ Sports temporarily brought down its Odds to Win prices, later to update them and repost them with the re-calibrated money line tags. They have installed Higher Power as the favorite with odds of 9/4. Higher Power was initially the fourth selection behind Omaha Beach, Spun to Run and Mucho Gusto. JAZZ Sports has Bob Baffert-trained Mucho Gusto right behind Higher Power at 5/2.

As evidence of the now wide-open betting race, the longshots are nowhere near as long now. Five horses opened the morning line at 30-1 and now, JAZZ Sports has Tenfold as the lone longshot at 25-1. Longshots Seeking the Soul and War Story will be running in their third Pegasus World Cup and their long odds have dropped from 30-1 to 14-1 and 16-1 respectively.

To see all of the updated odds, head to Jazzsports.ag and check under the 2020 Pegasus World Cup Odds to Win, appearing within the Horses category of their odds menu. Horse-racing fans will also be able to bet on the winner of the Pegasus Turf race, listed right below the World Cup odds.
