The UFC's welterweight title will be at stake on Saturday when Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal have a rematch at UFC 261 in Jacksonville.

Jorge Masvidal has some rough memories of the last time he fought Kamaru Usman, which happened to be his world title opportunity in the UFC. He felt he was not able to put his best foot forward, and was justified in feeling that way, since he had to lose an awful lot of weight as a late substitute.

But now he thinks that with more time to prepare, he can make a better account of himself. He gets that chance on Saturday night as he faces off against Usman in the main event at UFC 261, taking place at Jacksonville Veterans Coliseum in Florida. And once again, the welterweight title is at stake.

This is a pay-per-view show, and BetAnySports customers can avail themselves of plenty of prop bets available among "MMA Props" in the sportsbook interface. This includes exact outcomes and rounds betting.

Here are the odds that have been posted on the championship fight:

Kamaru Usman -344
Jorge Masvidal +286

Over 4.5 Rounds -175
Under 4.5 Rounds +155

Usman, a native of Nigeria who came to the Dallas-Fort Worth area with his family at the age of eight, is currently in a 17-fight winning streak. And he is 13-0 during his time in the UFC. He originally got involved in the process of winning The Ultimate Fighter competition in July 2015. The former Division II national champion wrestler (at Nebraska-Kearney) gradually worked his way up the UFC ladder, scoring significant wins over the likes of Demian Maia and Rafael Dos Anjos.

His journey brought him to a title fight at UFC 235, where he won a decision over Tyron Woodley, which came rather methodically and decisively (march 2019). He has made three title defenses. One of those came against Masvidal. Usman was scheduled to fight Gilbert Burns at UFC 251 last July, but Burns was forced to pull out of the bout when he was diagnosed with COVID-19. Rather than cancel, the UFC asked Masvidal if he was interested in subbing.

Masvidal lost about 20 pounds in the space of a week in order to make the weight, and frankly, he did not have a lot of steam. Usman took control early and did not relinquish it. Usman then got to fight Burns at UFC 258 (February 13) and scored a third-round TKO with strikes.

Masvidal is a true journeyman in MMA circles. He has fought for a number of different promotions, including Bellator and Strikeforce. He is generally known as someone who is hard to take out inside the distance, but he is much more of a force as a stand-up fighter than as a wrestler/grappler.

Although he was well-known, he really got everyone's attention when he knocked out Ben Askren with a flying knee at UFC 239. It took just five seconds, which is the fastest recorded KO in UFC annals. Then he turned around and scored a TKO over Nate Diaz, who was unable to continue after three rounds. That eventually led him into the short-notice opportunity vs. Usman.

No one doubts Masvidal's ability to come with more "juice" this time around. But ultimately he will have to demonstrate the ability to either hurt Usman in the stand-up phase or prevent the champion from taking him down. Usman is not a guy who is impatient, so he is perfectly content to take the advantage on the ground and avoid mistakes.

We do anticipate this happening, which means there may be value in a wager on him to win the five-round decision.
