Preview and prop picks for MNF
A most anticipated AFC East showdown kicks off Monday Night Football in Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season. The Buffalo Bills (-2') at New York Jets has seen good 2-way betting action with the line dipping from Bills -3 to -2.5 to -2 at leading online sportsbooks. I have a pick on the NY Jets as part of our weekly underdog picks, which went 2-1 Sunday in Week 1 with two outright winners on the Browns and Raiders. Plenty of other winners in our early-week considerations for underdog picks, and we'll chip-in some added props and picks on tonight's big game with added promotions from top online sportsbooks as well.
Better than a 50% chance of rain is in the forecast in East Rutherford, NY at Met Life Stadium Monday night. The total is down a point, but first half betting and dozens of other props are available.

MNF Picks and Props
NY Jets +2.5
Under 44.5
1st half under 22.5
Bills QB Josh Allen under 37 rushing yards
Jets WR Garrett Wilson TD scorer
Four-time MVP QB Aaron Rodgers now leads the Jets offense, and he wears No. 8. Rodgers and WR Garrett Wilson have had an impressive connection in camp, and Wilson enters his second season after last year's first round pick led the Jets in receiving with 83 receptions for 1,103 and 4 touchdowns. If you're adding 1st TD scorer, anytime scorer or other fun player prop bets, I'd target Wilson. He's +900 for 1st TD of the game, and +165 anytime scorer. Wilson is also in a head-to-head matchup vs Stephon Diggs in receiving yards, and you get +8.5 yards on Wilson if you bet him. A longshot 1st TD scorer is Jets TE Tyler Conklin (+2400).
The Bills have won 3-straight AFC East titles, which followed 11-straight by the New England Patriots. The Jets have won the AFC East just four times with their last in 2002.
While New York is just 1-5 SU the last 3 years vs Buffalo, the Jets can draw from the good feelings of last year’s victory on this field vs. the Bills, 20-17.
Jets Defense
The Jets’ pass rush is led by DT Quinnen Williams, and the coverage unit by rising star CB Sauce Gardner, an All Pro and Defensive Rookie of the Year last season. The Jets defense should be even stronger this season with one of the best slot corners in Michael Carter II and quality outside CB D.J. Reed, forming a terrific trio to join a solid backend in free safeties Tony Adams and Adrian Amoss, and strong safety Jordan Whitehead. New York allowed just 311 yards per game and 4.8 yards per play last year - both best in the AFC, and were the league's best in limiting opposing touchdown on a per-drive basis. The Bills look strong again and have been so consistent the last three years while losing just 12 times with three division titles. Of course they could blow up the Big Apple and add more rain and resistance to the Jets opening act with Rodgers headlining.
Big division games for both teams to kickoff the season and Monday Night Football. A tougher schedule to start the 2023 season for the Jets, who play the Bills, Cowboys, Chiefs and Eagles in four of their first six games. The Week 2 lookahead lines have the Jets (+3) an underdog at Dallas with the betting line currently up to Cowboys -4 following their 40-0 blowout win over the Giants Sunday Night. The Bills (-9.5) return home to host the Raiders as the biggest betting favorite in Week 2 as we chip-in more underdog picks looking to cash in.
You can bet on it.
