NBA Playoff Predictions for Friday 5-12

The Winners Circle has been firing NBA Playoff picks and beating the bookmaker for several weeks now. Today, Sean Higgs, Jesse Schule and I discuss current happenings in the playoffs and break down tonight's two games with analysis and free picks. Both games feature home favorites, but that is where any comparison ends.

New York Knicks at Miami Heat
Friday, 5/12 at 7:30 PM
Line: Miami (-6)
Total: 207.5

This East Conference battle is another elimination game for the Heat in this series. Miami Heat Free pickMiami is coming off a bad loss in Game 5 when they should have closed out the series, but return home tonight. In the last game the two teams shot a whopping 59 free throws, but we expect the refs to let the teams play tonight. Jesse and Sean are in agreement in the video that refs usually 'swallow their whistle" in an NBA Playoff Game 6 or 7, which would point to a low scoring affair.

In addition, the Heat are looking to end this series, at home, tonight. Jimmy Butler is always a beast coming off a bad loss. Can Jalen Brunson come up with another performance where he stays on the floor for all 48 minutes? Knicks Heat playoff predictionIn fact, Jesse makes a very strong case to play the NBA prop bet of Under 27.5 points for Brunson tonight.

With all of this in mind, we also look at the team total for the Knicks. They have averaged less than 96 point throughout the playoffs, yet have managed to go 6-4. During the post season the Heat have given up 101 or less in four of 5 home games. The Knicks are shooting just 29% from three and just 73% from the line. So, I'm looking at under 101 point as the team total for New York.

Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Lakers
Friday, 5/12 at 10 PM
Line: Los Angeles(-3)
Total: 220

The defending NBA champions were able to stave off elmination Wednesday night at home by beating the Lakers by a whopping 15 points, 121-106. NBA playoffs free pickIn looking at the total for this game, we see that a line that opened at 223 is now down all the way to 220. sean points out that the Warriros have been and under team for the most point all season and that's not going to change now. The Lakers are banged up and not a very good three point team and despite Curry seemingly able to score at will, he's got a lot of mileage on his legs. No one expects some kind of wild, high-scoring affiar so we'll go with the under trend for this Game 6 matchup. Jesse also leans towards the under, but also find a lack of value as the totals for these games all series have dropped.

Warriors Lakers predictionAs far as the winner on tonight's matchup, we have a difference of opinion.

I ran this game though my sports betting database and came up with some analysis that points toward the Lakers tonight. For example, the Warriors are just 1-10 this season as a road dog of five points or more!

For all that we have to offer on these two games make sure to check out the video. It's chock full of leans and advice from three top handicappers who have been consistently winning in the NBA playoffs this year.
